Salma Hayek is a boho babe with curly locks and flowing floral gown amid House Of Gucci filming

She’s just started work on the hotly-anticipated House Of Gucci film.

And Salma Hayek made the most of her morning off from filming as she soaked up the sights of Rome on Friday.

The actress, 54, seemed in good spirits as she meandered through the cobbled streets flanked by two male companions.

Looking every inch the bohomian babe, Salma dazzled in a flowing floral gown that flared over her hourglass curves.

Featuring ruffled sleeves and a lace-up bodice, the smock dress fell to ankle length, exposing a pair of nude barely-there heels.

Salma completed the look by wearing her glossy chestnut locks in their natural curl, and donned a pair of sunglasses and face mask.

The Oscar-nominee was no doubt glad to have the morning off to see some sights ahead of more filming for House Of Gucci.

Later in the day, she was dressed in far more casual attire as she wandered around the set, teaming a black vest and trousers with a green plaid shirt.

She is set to play the role of Pina Auriemma, who was a clairvoyant friend of ‘black widow’ Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) and was sentenced to 25 years in prison after Maurizio Gucci’s murder trial in 1998.

Pina was sentenced to 25 years for allegedly organising the killing for a fee of around £250,000. Her sentence was reduced to 19 years on appeal.

Pina had been struggling with debts herself and claimed that ‘in a moment of weakness’ she gave in to her friend’s requests to find a hitman.

Patrizia, who showed up at the trial in 1998 dressed head-to-toe in Gucci clothing and accessories, claimed Pina hired the hitman without her authorisation and had then blackmailed her after the murder had taken place.

Pina, who now has anything to do with her old friend, previously told The Sun: ‘I have great remorse, even if I did not actively participate in the organisation of the murder.’

Italy24News reports that Pina was released from jail in 2010, after serving around 13 years of her sentence.

Movie House of Gucci documents Patrizia Reggiani Gucci’s plot to murder her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), with Reggiani found guilty of paying a hit man £240,000 to murder him in 1995.

Reggiani put a hit out on her estranged husband after Gucci left her for another woman 10 years previously, telling her he was going on a short business trip from which he never returned.

During the murder trial, which transfixed Italy, Reggiani arrived each day wearing head-to-toe Gucci clothes and accessories.

Reggiani was initially sentenced to 29 years in 1998, which was reduced to 26 on appeal. She served 18 before being released in October 2014.

The film is based on the bestselling novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by author Sara Gay Forden.

It is scheduled to go on general release from November 24th 2021.
