Meghan and Harry want Oprah interview to be LAST word on Megxit and to ‘move on’
On Sunday, the US TV channel CBS aired the eagerly anticipated interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Among the many revelations made by the couple, Meghan told the US media mogul that life had become so unbearable in the Royal Family, that she “lost the will to live.” Harry also confided that he had felt badly let down by Prince Charles and that their relationship had not been repaired.
Sources told the Daily Telegraph that the Duke and Duchess had felt the need to explain why they chose to quit the Royal Family last year.
A friend said: “It was something they felt they wanted and needed to do but now they have done it, they feel a line has been drawn under that chapter of their lives and they want to move on.”
In an attempt to move the agenda on, Meghan and Harry plan to announce a series of new projects that they will launch in the coming weeks.
These include plans for their Archewell foundation.
They will also promote their support for a Texan Women’s shelter damaged in the recent winter storm and their international Women’s campaign.
Prince Harry is said to be keen on reconciling with his brother, Prince William.
