Kate Middleton ‘did not leave human race when she joined Planet Windsor’ – expert

Prince William’s wife has become a key working member of the Royal Family after joining the Firm nearly 10 years ago. The Duchess has received praise thanks to her dedication to the role and willingness to step up and accept new royal duties.

But according to royal author Penny Junor, Kate “did not leave the human race” in order to develop her job.

Commenting on Kate’s appearance at a vigil for Sarah Everard, the expert told The Sunday Times: “Kate was making a very subtle point.

“You don’t need to make a song and dance about things.

“She showed up at Clapham quietly with absolutely no fanfare. I just thought it spoke volumes.”

Ms Junor also highlighted how the Duchess avoids outstripping the Duke of Cambridge.

She compared the royal couple’s relationship to that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, claiming that Diana taking the public attention from the heir to the throne “caused huge problems”.

The author said: “Charles was Prince of Wales and not used to having the limelight taken from him.

“That caused huge problems. Kate is being very careful to ensure she doesn’t outstrip William.
