John Bishop shares selfie with Hugh Bonneville before getting his Covid vaccine

John Bishop was greeted by non other than Hugh Bonneville when he arrived at a vaccination centre to get his coronavirus vaccination.

The two stars shared selfies on their respective social media accounts after the surprise encounter at the Midhurst Riverbank Medical Centre.

Hugh, 57, has been volunteering at his local centre to help the fight against coronavirus throughout the pandemic.

Alongside a snap of himself and Hugh, John wrote: ‘You know you’ve picked a posh centre when Hugh Bonneville volunteers here! 

Meanwhile, Hugh shared a similar snap and wrote: ‘My turn to ask for a selfie. @nobleandstace and I had to up our Welcome game when the one and only @johnbish100 arrived for his vaccination #MidhurstPharmacy #vaccination.’

Hugh was sporting a yellow hi-vis jacket and a face mask, which he pulled down for the photo opportunity with John – who was stood at a social distance.

The Downton star offered a thumbs up for the camera in John’s snap, as they both smiled for the snap. 

Hugh previously received his own COVID-19 jab while working as a volunteer vaccine marshall at the centre.

He shared a photo of himself being vaccinated while proudly wearing his volunteer T-shirt and giving a thumbs up.

Hugh has been volunteering at the Midhurst Riverbank Medical Centre in West Sussex, England, and posted on Instagram about how proud he was to be able to help out during the pandemic. 

His caption revealed that he received an AstraZeneca vaccination.

John joins an ever-growing list of celebs who have received their Covid vaccines, including BGT star Susan Boyle, 59, and former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, 41.

Piers Morgan, 56, Sir David Attenborough, 94, Sir Ian McKellen, 81, and GBBO judge Prue Leith, 80, have all also received their jab.

Michael Eavis, 85, Lionel Blair, 92, and Marty Wilde, 81, are among the other stars who have announced they have had the coronavirus jab.

Ministers have pledged to dish out vaccines to all 32million in the top nine priority groups — which include unpaid carers — by the end April.
